and fast track lanes are moving nicely. >> new this morning, a just-released report says san francisco muni overtime costs are over budget, and abc7 news reporter joins us live from the station with an employee who took an unbelievable amount in overtime. >> that is right. the "san francisco chronicle" is reporting that mull -- multiple muni employees made mother than $100,000 in overtime. the average worker, working 40 hours a week works about 2,000 hour as year. some clocked in 4,000 hours in a year. one mechanic made an extra $164,000 for clocking in 2,000 hours of overtime. the chief says the mechanic was paid for overnight work, on a new train control system when trains did not run. ten supervisors made more than $100,000 in overtime pay alone for the 2011 and 1212 fiscal year. one worked street corners keeping an eye on buss and trains and helping out in emergencies, and this supervisor clocked the most hours with 2,262 hours of overtime, earning an extra $147,000 on top of salary. we have a call in for a response to the shocking numbers and we do expect to have that coming up on abc7

bowl. paul chambers joins us live from san francisco with a message that's going out to city bars. >> reporter: good morning. i will say before we get to that there is a plan a lot of people want to do, come out here like they did during the giant's world series. that can't happen because the nfl won't allow a public viewing party. now that will not stop a lot of niner fans celebrating of course. this was a scene last week when fans took to the streets in an effort of keeping the city and people safe. the mayor is asking that places serving hard alcohol be more responsible. >> to suggest that they serve something that heavy alcohol during the time the celebration, being drunk sometimes doesn't help. >> reporter: the next week the mayor and police chief will visit areas hit by vandals after the giants won and discuss the plan for safety on super bowl sunday which includes up to 500 officers on the streets, three times the amount of a normal sunday. fire marshalls will also hit the streets. >> if it look like its getting out of hand or they have had to much of a crowd in the bar w

lobbying against laws that restrict access to guns. >> thank you. a state lawmaker from san francisco is introducing a bill aimed at reducing gun violence in california. democratic senator wants to bolster the assault weapons ban. it calls for banning the use of bullet buttons that allow shoot wees to change magazines quickly on military-style rifles. the bill bans the use of magazines that contain more than ten bullets. the national rifle association has not responded to a request for a comment. >> gun violence claimed the life in east palo alto with a second victim in critical condition a block from east palo alto police headquarters. police say a 24-year-old was killed after being shot several times. a second man showed up at the medical center with wounds believed from the same shooting. investigators are looking for a motive and suspects in the case. >> police are looking for a plank robber and asking for help identifying the criminal novato. the robbery happened thursday before 4:00 when this man entered the west america bank. no weapon was used or seen. no one was injured. the

the green bay packers! bowl and niners quarterback quarterback colin capernick and the san francisco 49ers with a record night at candlestick park. green bay struck first, on this first quarter capernick interception. it's seven - nothing. but then cap-ernick came right back, running 20 yards to tie the game at seven. then a crucial first half turnover. packer rookie jeremy ross fumbles on the nine yard line. the niners recover and would later score. michael crabtree with two t.d. receptions. the niners turned it into a rout in the third quarter. overall, cap-ernick ends the night with 444 total yards, two touchdowns runs and two scoring passes. a record breaking performance by the 2nd year quarterback. 49ers win, 45 to 31. that means a return to the n-f-c championship game. and sets them up to either play >> there were 70 thousand fans in the seats at the stick.and then there were thousands more packing bay area sports bars. as they cheered on the niners. kron four's alecia reid braved the crowd in walnut creek. tables were reserved well in advance. celebrating the 49ers was a no-brainer.
